Enjoy the scenic highlights of the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park and keep a look out for the wildlife! This 60 minute boat cruise takes in the ruggedly spectacular coastlines of Penguin, Seal & Bird Islands and takes advantage of the best wildlife spotting opportunities of the day. Wild dolphins, rare Australian sea lions, pelican rookeries, and birds of prey are regularly sighted and our friendly crew will get you right amongst the action! Or you may add-on a fresh Fish and chip lunch at Pengos Cafe after your tour.

  • Seeing wild dolphins at play (although sightings are regular, they are not guaranteed as our cruise is restricted to inside Shoalwater Bay)

  • Drifting over seagrass meadows and limestone reefs spotting fish and other marine life through the glass bottom

How to Get Here

Self-Drive

  • Allow 45 minutes to 1 hour to drive from Perth.

  • There is free car parking onsite and overflow parking available at the Safety Bay Bowling Club a short walk away at 130 Gloucester Crescent, Safety Bay.

  • Do not park on the road verge or the vacant block across the road from our car park. They are clearly signed with No Standing signs and rangers will issue parking infringements for anyone parked illegally.

  • Do not leave valuables in your car and make sure any bags or luggage is hidden from view. Unfortunately like any coastal car parks in Australia, there is always a risk of thieves breaking into vehicles.

Public Transport

  • Take the train south from Perth on the Mandurah line and disembark at the Rockingham Station.
  • Catch bus 551, 552 or 553 from stands 9 or 10 outside the train station and get off on Penguin & Watts Road.
  • Walk along Penguin Road towards the beach to our shop.

  • Any prices listed are in the currency of Australian dollar (AUD).
  • Please provide the full English names of each passenger when placing an order.
  • What to wear?
    It’s important that you are adequately dressed because it can be cold, even in summer. A warm weather proof jacket is essential. Gloves, scarves & beanies for the colder days are a good idea.
  • Tours operate daily during winter season, however bookings are essential as places are subject to availability.
  • Children of all ages are welcome aboard our boats and we take many children along on our cruises. As parents you are probably the best judge as to how your children will cope with being out on the water for 1 hour, but we have found that the majority of children enjoy the experience and love seeing the amazing wildlife, sea lions, pelican rookeries along the coastline.

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 2days. No refund if cancel within 2days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
