Kayak Around the Sydney Opera House & Sydney Harbour

Let yourself sleep in and then take in the beautiful cityscape with a mid-morning paddle around Sydney Harbour. 

What to Expect: 

  • A fun-filled, friendly, and safe kayak session in Sydney Harbour, led by qualified guides
  • A smaller group than most kayak companies in Sydney, with a maximum of 12 paddlers per experience
  • Photo opportunities with iconic landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge
  • Safety briefing and equipment customisation at the beginning of your session
  • Photos dropped by the end of the day
  • For double kayaks - you're booking the whole kayak for both customers e.g.1 kayak for 2 people, 2 kayaks for 4 people etc... (if one of you don't show for the booking, we'll be unable to take the other one as we cant guarantee a single kayak would be available)

Transportation

  • Location:  1 Bradly Ave, Kirribilli NSW 2060
    We have two possible departure points depending on weather, tides, or other unforeseen circumstances, so the departure location may vary each day. Your journey will start from either Lavender Bay, NSW or Milson Park, NSW (1 Bradley Ave, Kirribilli, NSW 2060).
    Once your booking is confirmed, the exact departure point will be provided. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure.

Things to Note

  • Currency for the tour quotation is in Australian Dollars (AUD). This tour requires a minimum of one person to proceed.
  • What to Bring : Clothes and shoes that are comfy, and you don’t mind getting wet. A long sleeved rashie works a treat, and board shorts are quite good too! Spare shoes to get changed into after the session. Sunnies and a hat to protect you from the sun A bottle of water
  • **Please note we have 12 Single Kayaks and 5 Double Kayaks for each Experience.
  • Children must be 5 years or older to participate in this tour (children under 5 are not permitted).
  • Kayaking activity is physically demanding, so make sure to have a full meal before the activity.
  • All fitness levels are welcome! Couples or children can benefit greatly from our double kayaks! Sit at the front and take it easy, just take photos or take regular breaks paddling, as the double kayaks can be operated and manoeuvred easily by the person sitting in the back alone!
    If there is an experience that has specific criteria for paddlers, it will be listed in the booking platform.
  • Sydney Kayak Experience are an all-weather experience, kayaking during the time of the Sunrise and mid-morning, but cannot guarantee what the sunrise or weather will be. Don’t forget to bring a raincoat in case of rain and dress for the conditions on the day.
  • The Sydney Kayak Experience team love to kayak, but will postpone tours during electrical storms or during times of extremely high wind. If you have any questions please email us.
  • If Sydney Kayak Experience have indicated in the previous day weather update email that the kayaking activity is safe to go ahead, but it may be a wet activity, and you would like to reschedule due to possible rain, you can opt to reschedule up until 6pm the night before your tour, for a non-refundable rebooking fee of 15%. This late reschedule fee covers the cost of the Guides that are booked to run the activity that is due to go ahead. This rebooking option is only available if a wet-weather email has been sent by Sydney Kayak Experience and the rebooking is outlined as an option in this email, otherwise, the standard cancellation and no show policy will apply.

Cancellation Policy

15% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 7days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
