@Auckland City

Auckland, the vibrant city of New Zealand, beckons travellers with its captivating blend of natural wonders and urban charm. To make the most of your visit, it's essential to understand the diverse seasons that shape this beautiful city.

Seasonal weather

- Summer (December to February)

Auckland's summer is a sun-soaked delight, with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). Embrace the warmth as you explore the city's stunning beaches, enjoy outdoor festivals, and take in the breathtaking views from volcanic summits. Don't forget to pack sunscreen, light clothing, and swimwear to fully savour the coastal charms of this season.

- Autumn (March to May)

As Auckland transitions into autumn, the city is painted with hues of red, orange, and gold. Expect mild temperatures ranging from 15°C to 20°C (59°F to 68°F), creating a comfortable atmosphere for outdoor activities. Pack layers to adapt to the changing weather and enjoy nature walks in the city's lush parks or sample the local produce at autumn harvest festivals.Winter (June to August)
Auckland's winter brings cooler temperatures, typically ranging from 10°C to 15°C (50°F to 59°F). While milder than many other regions, it's still advisable to pack warm clothing, including jackets, sweaters, and a waterproof layer. Embrace the indoor charms of Auckland during this season, such as exploring museums, indulging in delicious cuisine, and attending cultural performances.

- Spring (September to November)

Spring in Auckland bursts with new life and blossoming beauty. Enjoy temperatures ranging from 15°C to 20°C (59°F to 68°F), making it a delightful time to explore outdoor attractions like the stunning gardens and parks. Pack comfortable footwear, and light layers, and don't forget your camera to capture the vibrant colours and fragrant blooms that adorn the city during this season.

Time difference

Auckland Time follows New Zealand Standard Time (NZST), which is equivalent to Universal Standard Time plus 12 hours (UTC+12). For example, when the time in Beijing/Hong Kong is 8:00 am, the time in Auckland is 12:00 pm.

Activity tips and information

Skydiving:

  1. Winter in New Zealand is relatively cold from April to September, please wear warm clothes.
  2. Before skydiving, strap on your skydiving shoes.
  3. Cameras and video cameras brought by tourists cannot be carried on the plane.
  4. You will receive training before boarding the plane, mainly to introduce high-altitude skydiving, and then precautions, as well as some key points for everyone to remember.
  5. Before the activity starts, personal items (necklaces, bracelets, watches, big earrings, sunglasses) must be stored in the travel company. The travel company does not necessarily have a safe, and guests need to store valuables in the hotel by themselves or hand them over to relatives and friends.
  6. Since skydiving is very affected by the weather, to avoid skydiving being ruined, it is recommended to book the skydiving activity on the first day of the itinerary, so that if the skydiving on the first day is cancelled, you can continue skydiving the next day.

Of course, these are just guidelines, it is best to check on official websites.
